FDRC and HKMAAL Co-hosted a Seminar “Update on the Hong Kong Mediation Code"
On 7 July, the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC), in collaboration with the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (HKMAAL), jointly organised a seminar titled “Update on the Hong Kong Mediation Code”, attracting over 60 practitioners.
The seminar focused on introducing the updated Hong Kong Mediation Code, as published by HKMAAL in April 2026 (click HERE), highlighting the latest amendments and their implications for mediation practice. It served to enhance participants’ understanding of the applicable framework and support more effective application in practice, while contributing to the ongoing development of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Hong Kong.
Professor Iu Ting-kwok, MH, the speaker, offered practical guidance and shared his valuable insight. FDRC expresses its sincere appreciation to Professor Iu for his presentation and to HKMAAL for its collaboration in making the seminar well received. FDRC also thanks all participants for their active engagement and lively discussions.
FDRC hopes that the seminar has deepened participants’ understanding of the updated Code and provided valuable reference for ADR practitioners. FDRC believes that initiatives of this nature will further strengthen Hong Kong’s mediation ecosystem and reinforce the city’s position as a leading international hub for legal and dispute resolution services.
